On March 27, 2012, "Coalition for Citizens Rights" held a rally across from the Chinese Consulate General in New York demanding the Chinese government to stop forced abortions and the One-Child Policy.
2012年3月27日，公民自由联盟在中国驻纽约总领事馆外举行集会，要求中国政府停止强迫流产，和一胎化政策。
Over the past 30 years, countless unborn babies were forcibly aborted and murdered in China since the Chinese government started its One-Child Policy in 1978, prohibiting couples to have more than one child.
自1978年中国政府实行一胎化——禁止一对夫妇生多于一个的孩子的政策以来，30年过去了，不计其数的胎儿被强迫流产和杀害。
This rally was organized by Xu Zhejun, the rotating chairman of "Coalition for Citizens Rights" for March 2012. He gave a speech at the rally in condemnation of the violation of basic human rights by the Chinese government by forcing women to have abortions and sterilizations while carrying out its notorious One-Child Policy, and calls on the Chinese government to stop forced abortions immediately. He also calls on the Chinese government to immediately give freedom to Chen Guangcheng, a human rights lawyer who was sentenced to 4 years and 3 months in prison in 2006 for providing legal support to victims of forced abortion and sterilization in Shandong Province, China. Mr. Chen Guangcheng was placed under house arrest after his release from prison in September 2010 and was not allowed to communicate with the outside world.
此次集会由公民自由联盟3月轮值主席许哲俊组织。他在集会上发表演讲，谴责中国政府违背基本人权的行为——实行臭名昭著的一胎化政策，强迫妇女流产或结扎，并要求中国政府立即停止强迫流产。同时，他要求中国政府立即释放中国人权律师陈光诚。陈光诚因在山东为那些被强迫流产和结扎的受害者们提供法律支持，于2006年被判处4年3个月的有期徒刑。2010年9月出狱后，陈光诚先生被软禁在家中，并被禁止与外界联系。
"Coalition for Citizens Rights" also calls for the release of political prisoners and prisoners of conscience in China, such as Dr. Liu Xiaobo, the 2010 Nobel Laureate for peace prize who was sentenced to 11 years in prison in 2009 for writing "Charter 08", a manifesto calling for rule of law, constitutional reform, freedom of speech, and respect for human rights; and Liu Xianbin, a democracy activist in Sichuan Province who was sentencd to 10 years in prison for articles he posted on the internet in criticism of Communist Chinese government's dictatorship; and Mr. Zhu Yufu, a poet in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China who was sentenced to 7 years in prison in February 2012 for a poem named "It Is Time" that he wrote calling on people to stand up fighting for their freedom and rights.
公民自由联盟还要求中国政府释放国内政治犯、良心犯，诸如荣获2010年诺贝尔和平奖的刘晓波博士、四川民主活动者刘贤斌和浙江杭州诗人朱虞夫。刘晓波博士因为发布《零八宪章》，倡导法治、修改宪法、言论自由、尊重人权，于2009年被判处11年监禁；刘贤斌因为在网上发表言论，批评中共政府专制统治被判处10年监禁；朱虞夫因为写了一首名为《是时候了》的诗，号召人民争取自由和人权，于2012年2月被判处7年监禁。
