UN Rally Calling for Tearing Down of "Great Internet Firewall" in China
On July 19, 2011, Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights held a rally at the United Nations condemning the attack of its website,
http://www.cfcr2008.org/, calling on the Chinese government to tear down the "Great Internet Firewall", and give people freedom of speech.
The website of the organization was attacked on July 12, 2011 and has been down since then. Before this, there has been 4 attacks on this website since 2008 by unknown hackers.
At the rally, dozens of members of Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights spoke out in support of freedom of speech and internet freedom.
