"Free Nobel Laureate Liu Xiaobo" Rally (释放刘晓波）

On September 17, 2013, "Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights", a human rights organization, held a rally across from the Chinese Consulate in New York calling for the release of Nobel laureate Liu Xiaobo.
２０１３年９月１７日，　中国公民自由联盟在纽约中领馆前举行集会，要求释放诺贝尔和平奖获得者刘晓波。

Dr. Liu Xiaobo was sentenced to 11 years in prison in 2009 for writing an article calling for constitutional reform, and freedom of speech, in China. He was awarded the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize for his outstanding contribution for China's peaceful transition to a democratic country.
刘晓波博士因为写了一篇文章，号召宪政改革，言论自由，结果在２００９年被判处１１年有期徒刑。２０１０年，他被授予诺贝尔和平奖，以表彰他为中国的民主转型而做出的杰出贡献。

Right now, Dr. Liu Xiaobo is still serving his terms in Chinese prison. His wife Liu Xia has been placed under house arrest since his imprisonment.
现在，刘晓波博士还在中国的监狱里服刑，他的妻子刘霞自从刘晓波被判刑后，一直被软禁在家。

"Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" calls on the Chinese government to release Liu Xiaobo immediately, because what he did was just peacefully expressing his political views by writing this article, and the Chinese Constitution protects every citizen's rights to freedom of speech.
中国公民自由联盟号召中国政府立即释放刘晓波，因为刘晓波写文章只是和平表达自己的政治观点，而中国宪法明文规定保护每一个公民的言论自由。
