3rd Anniversary of Nobel Peace Prize for Liu Xiaobo (刘晓波获诺贝尔和平奖三周年）

On October 8, 2013, "Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" held a rally at the Chinese Consulate in New York in commemoration of the 3rd anniversary of Liu Xiaobo being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Dr. Liu Xiaobo, a writer in Beijing, China, was sentenced to 11 years in prison in 2009 for writing an article calling for rule of law, freedom of speech, and constitutional reform in China. He was awarded the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize announced by the Nobel Committee in Norway on October 8, 2010 for his outstanding contribution to China's peaceful transition to a democratic country.

Right now, Dr. Liu Xiaobo is still serving his prison terms in Jinzhou Prison, Liaoning Province, China.

"Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights", a Chinese human rights organization based in America, calls on the Chinese government to release Liu Xiaobo and all those who are imprisoned for their political views, and return freedom of speech to all Chinese citizens.
