Starting from yesterday, the Gmail service was halted in China by the Chinese government because Google refused to censor contents in the Gmail communications. This triggered a outcry and fury in China as well as overseas, because many students and scholars rely on the Gmail service to apply to schools in the United States and for academic use.
Google was forced to pull out of China a number of years ago because it refused to do evil by censoring search results on its search engine.
"Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" strongly protest the blockade of the Gmail service in China and demand that the Chinese government restore the service to all the people in China, and allow free flow of information.
Members of "Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" attending today's rally include: Wei Haoxing(韦浩星), Shen Xuehua(申雪花), Piao Yingmei(朴英美), Che Mingji(车明姬), Jin Shanyu(金珊玉), Xiong Liangfeng(熊良丰), Wan Wenguo(万文国), Cui Haiyan(崔海燕), Jin Dayong (金大勇), Xu Yingyu (许英玉), Chen Jinfeng(陈晋锋), Ren Hongliu(任宏留), and Li Juhua(李菊花).
