On April 30, 2013, "Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" (CCCR) held a meeting at the "Beijing Spring" office in Flushing, New York on commemorating 1989 Tiananmen Square democracy movement.
2013年4月30日， 中国公民自由联盟在“北京之春”办公室举办座谈会，纪念1989年天安门民主运动24周年。
This meeting was hosted by Xue Wei, chairman of the "Chinese Alliance for Democracy", and two other renowned democracy leaders, Chen Liqun and Han Wu, also gave speech at the meeting.
这次座谈会是由“中国民主团结联盟”主席薛伟主持的。在会上，另外两位著名民运领袖，陈立群和韩武，都发表了讲话。
At the meeting, Xue Wei briefed members of "Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" on plans to commemorate the 24th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square democracy movement. He said that there will be a conference at the Heraton Hotel in Flushing, New York on May 28, and that there will be a demonstration at the Chinese Consulate in New York City on June 4, 2013, in which about 1000 people will be attending, to commemorate the 24th anniversary of Tiananmen Square democracy movement.
在会议上，薛伟向中国公民自由联盟成员介绍了纽约地区纪念六四活动的安排。他说，在5月28日，在纽约法拉盛的喜来登酒店将举行会议，并且在6月4日在纽约的中国领事馆将举行示威活动，将有一千多人参加，来纪念64运动24周年。
Xue Wei hopes that CCCR members attend these two activities, and to commemorate the 24th anniversary of Tiananmen student movement with actions.
薛伟希望中国公民自由联盟的成员都能够积极参加这两场活动，用自己的行动来纪念六四。
The Tiananmen Square Democracy Movement happened in 1989, and at that time students in Beijing took to the streets demanding an end to government corruption, calling for freedom and democracy. This movement was violently cracked down by the Chinese government on June 4, 1989.
天安门民主运动发生在1989年，那时候，北京的学生走上街头，要求惩治腐败，要求民主自由，可是，在1989年6月4日，这场运动被中国政府用暴力镇压下去。
Members of "Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" attending today's meeting include: Ren Chengguang, Jiang Hao, Cao Yikang, Wang Ruhua, Huang Huai, Jin Hai, Piao Xianghua, Cui Yuhua, Zhu Benjian, Jin Lianhua, Piao Guisong, Cui Chunhua, Zheng Hairui, Xue Yuye, Xiong Liangfeng, Jin Chunlan, Jiang Kaixiong, Piao Yingmei, Xu Zhejun, Jin Yuzi, Chen Baoqun, Piao Chunzi, Shen Xuehua, Jin Hualin.
