UN Rally: "Release Nobel Laureate Liu Xiaobo" 联合国集会，要求释放诺贝尔和平奖获得者刘晓波

On November 22, 2011, "Coalition for Citizens Rights" held a rally at the United Nations calling for the release of Liu Xiaobo, the 2010 Nobel laureate for peace prize.
2011年11月22日，“公民权利联盟”在联合国举行了集会，呼吁释放2010年诺贝尔和平奖得主刘晓波。

Dr. Liu Xiaobo is a Chinese dissident wirter. He wrote an article named "Charter 08" in 2008, calling for rule of law, constitutional reform, respect for human rights, and freedom of speech in China. He was detained on December 8, 2008, two days before the 60th anniversary of "international human rights day".
刘晓波博士是一个中国的持不同政见者的写作家。他在2008年写了一篇文章名为“08宪章”呼吁中国法治，宪政改革，尊重人权，言论自由。2008年12月8日，他被拘捕前两天是“国际人权日”60周年。

On December 25, 2009, Dr. Liu Xiaobo was sentenced to 11 years in prison on charges of "subverting state power" for writing "Charter 08".
2009年12月25日，刘晓波博士因写“08宪章”得“颠覆国家政权”的罪名而被判处有期徒刑11年。

On December 10, 2010, Dr. Liu Xiaobo was awarded the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize for his outstanding contribution to China's transition to democracy and freedom drive with non-violent means. However, Dr. Liu Xiaobo was not able to appear in Norway to receive the award because he was serving his prison terms in China.
