"Stop Self Immolation in Tibet" Rally (中国政府采取措施制止藏人自焚）

On February 28, 2012, "Coalition for Citizens Rights" held a rally across from the Chinese Consulate General in New York, USA calling on the Chinese government to take immediate measures to stop the self-immolation in Tibet.
2012年2月28日，公民自由联盟在中国驻纽约总领馆外举行集会，要求中国政府采取立即措施停止藏人自焚。

It has come to the attention of "Coalition for Citizens Rights" that there has been an increasing number of monks and nuns in Tibet who burned themselves to death in protest of lack of respect for their religion and their way of life. Over the past 6 months, more than 10 people in Tibet died from self immolation.
公民自由联盟注意到西藏越来越多的僧人和尼姑采用自焚的方式抗议中国政府对他们宗教和生活方式的不尊重。过去6个月里，西藏已经有超过10人死于自焚。

"Coalition for Citizens Rights" insists that Tibet is part of China, and as Chinese citizens, religious freedom, culture and way of life of the Tibetans should be respected. Only in this way, the Tibetans can feel that they are part of the Chinese family. We oppose any form of split of the country by calling for the independence of Tibet.
公民自由联盟坚持西藏是中国的领土。但是中国政府应当尊重其公民的宗教自由，文化和生活方式。只有这样，西藏人才能感受到自己是中国大家庭的一份子。我们反对西藏独立，反对任何形式的分裂国家行为。

We deplore the loss of life as a result of the self-immolation and calls on the Tibetans to stop taking such extreme measures to protest violation of their rights to freedom of religion and way of life. Racial reconciliation can only be fulfilled by talks and mutual understanding, and mutual respect. Of course, the action of the Chinese government plays the most important role.
我们哀悼生命以自焚的形式结束，我们号召藏人停止用这种极端行为去争取自己的宗教自由和生活方式自由。民族和解的实现在于双方的对话，并建立在相互理解，相互尊重的基础上。当然，中国政府的行为将起决定性作用。

This rally was organized by Mr. Cao Han, vice chairman of "Coalition for Citizens Rights". Mr. Cao Han gave a speech at the rally in support of the Tibetan's pursuit of religious freedom and human rights.
More than 30 members of "Coalition for Citizens Rights" attended today's rally. They are: Cao Han, Li Jun, Jin Yanhao, An Chunyue, Yang Shunhua, Zhu Yongming, Zhang Fuzi, Jin Changxie, Piao Meihua, Zheng Shaoqin, Luo Shimeng, Li Shangji, Liu Jinwen, Quan Ningling, Piao Hulin, Li Yuhua, Ming Jian, Piao Ri, Piao Guanxu, Xuan Longyan, Lin Jixiang, Liu Yongjie, Shi Aiqin, Liu Ailing, Wei Bo, Cao Yikang, Jiang Jiantian, Xiao Jingfeng, Lin Qin, Jin Yujie, Xu Yingyu.
此次集会有公民自由联盟副主席曹晗组织，曹先生在集会中讲话，支持藏人对宗教自由和人权的追求。超过30个联盟成员参加了本次集会，他们是：曹晗，李君，金延浩，安春月，杨顺花，朱永明，张福子，金昌燮，朴美花，郑少琴，罗士猛，李尚吉，刘金伟， 权宁玲，朴虎林，李玉花，明键，朴日，朴冠旭，玄龙岩，林吉香，刘用杰，石爱钦，刘爱玲，卫波，曹以康，江鉴天，肖金凤，林钦，金玉洁，许英玉。
