"Free Nobel Laureate Liu Xiaobo" Rally 释放刘晓波集会

On September 25, 2012, "Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" held a rally at the United Nations Square calling for the release of Dr. Liu Xiaobo, the 2010 Nobel laureate for peace prize.

2012年9月25日，公民自由联盟在联合国广场集会，要求释放2010年诺贝尔和平奖获得者刘晓波。

Dr. Liu Xiaobo was sentenced to 11 years in prison on December 25, 2009 on charges of "inciting to subvert state power" for writing an article named "Charter 08", a manifesto calling for rule of law, freedom of speech, constitutional reform, and government be elected by the people.
刘晓波博士因为撰写《零八宪章》，在2009年12月25日以颠覆国家政权罪名被判处11年有期徒刑，《零八宪章》是倡导法治、言论自由、宪法改革、政府民选的宣言。

On October 8, 2010, the Nobel Committee in Norway declared that it awarded Dr. Liu Xiaobo the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize for his outstanding contribution over the past 20 years to China's peaceful transition to a democracy.

2010年10月8日，在挪威的评奖委员会宣布刘晓波博士被授予诺贝尔和平奖，以表彰其在过去20年里为中国和平民主转型所作出的杰出贡献。

On December 10, 2010, which was also the "World Human Rights Day", the Nobel Committee held an awarding ceremony in Oslo, Norway for the peace prize. However, Dr. Liu Xiaobo was not able to attend the ceremony himself, because he was then serving his prison terms in China. At the awarding ceremony, there was only an empty chair where Dr. Liu Xiaobo was supposed to sit.

2010年12月10日，也是世界人权日，诺贝尔评奖委员会在挪威奥斯陆举行了和平奖颁奖礼，刘晓波博士不能亲自去领奖因为他仍在中国狱中服刑，颁奖礼唯一的空位置属于本应出席的刘晓波博士。

Right now, Dr. Liu Xiaobo is still serving his terms in Jinzhou Prison, Liaoning Province, China.
"Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" calls on the Chinese government to immediately release Dr. Liu Xiaobo, and all other political prisoners who were imprisoned for their political opinions, and allow freedom of speech in China.
目前，刘晓波博士仍在中国辽宁省锦州狱中服役。公民自由联盟要求中国政府立即释放刘晓波，还有其他持不同政见的政治犯，给予中国人民言论自由。
