"Free Nobel Laureate Liu Xiaobo" Forum 释放刘晓波研讨会

On May 29, 2012, "Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" held a forum at its headquarters on Liu Xiaobo, the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize winner.
2012年5月29日，中国自由联盟在总部举行了关于2010年诺贝尔和平奖获得者刘晓波的研讨会。

Dr. Liu Xiaobo was sentenced to 11 years in prison in 2009 for writing an article named "Charter 08", calling for political reform, freedom of speech and constitutional democracy in China. In October 2010, the Nobel Committee in Norway awarded the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize to Dr. Liu Xiaobo in recognization of his outstanding contribution over the past 20 years to China's peaceful transition to a democracy.
刘晓波博士因为撰写《08宪章》，号召在中国进行政治改革、言论自由、宪法民主，于2009年被判处11年徒刑。2010年10月，诺贝尔奖评选委员会在挪威宣布授予刘晓波博士2010年诺贝尔和平奖，以表彰他20年来对中国和平民主转型所作出的杰出贡献。

Members of "Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" call on the Chinese government to immediately release Dr. Liu Xiaobo from prison and redress the 1989 Tiananmen Democracy Movement.

After the meeting, members of "Chinese Coalition for Citizens Rights" distributed flyers on the streets in Flushing calling on the Chinese government to release Liu Xiaobo.
