On May 28, 2013, "Beijing Spring", a pro-democracy journal, and "Chinese Alliance for Democracy", a Chinese democracy organization based in America, held a conference at the Sheraton Hotel in Flushing, New York, USA, on "Political Situation in China" and awarded Mr. Chen Ziming "Freedom Pioneer".
2013年5月28日，民运刊物“北京之春”和民运组织“中国民主团结联盟”在美国纽约法拉盛的喜来登酒店举行会议，讨论中国政局的现状问题。“中国民主团结联盟”还在会议上向中国大陆的民运人士陈子明颁发了“自由先锋奖”。
This meeting also coincides with the commemoration of the 24th anniversary of Tiananmen Square student movement, in which hundreds of students who took to streets in Beijing demanding freedom and democracy were killed by the army.
这次会议也是为了纪念“六四”民主运动24周年。1989年，北京的学生在天安门广场游行示威，反对官倒，反对腐败，要求民主和自由。在1989年的6月4日，数百名学生在天安门清场过程中被军队杀害。

This meeting was hosted by Dr. Yudahai, director of distribution of "Beijing Spring", and was attended by numerous renowned democracy leaders, including Wei Jingsheng, and Wang Juntao, chairman of China Democracy Party; Hu Ping, chief editor of "Beijing Spring"; Andrew Nathan, a professor at Columbia University; the North American representative of the Dalai Lama also attended the meeting and gave a speech.
这次会议由北京之春杂志发行人于大海博士主持，参加会议的包括著名民运人士魏京生，中国民主党主席王军涛，北京之春杂志主编胡平，哥伦比亚大学教授黎安友，以及达赖喇嘛住美国办事处的代表。
